Please note: Students will be required to attend a mandatory clinical in order to perform their 30 live sticks. This will include 5-6 full days at a lab location.

Learn the Skills:

• Master practical competencies of phlebotomy.
• Learn to draw an acceptable blood specimen from a patient.
• Review legal, ethical, and special considerations in phlebotomy.
• Learn to draw blood samples from patients who are difficult draws.

Certification:

Students will be prepared to sit for the Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Tuition Includes:

• Textbook/Workbook, learning tools, and study materials.
• NHA online practice exams, online study guide, and fee for the CPT exam.
• Urine Drug Screen and Background Check cost for clinical placement.

Students are Responsible for:

• Purchasing Scrubs

Requirements for the Course:

• No-Penalty Withdrawal: If you decide the schedule, clinical demands, or program requirements aren't the right fit for you right now, you can drop the course prior to the official start date without any financial or academic penalty.
• Compliance Overview: You will learn about the mandatory background check and drug screening procedures required for the program, including timeline expectations, costs, and policy details. Note: You will not be signing up or completing any screenings during this session; this is strictly an informational overview so you know what is entailed.
• Program Alignment: Ensure your personal schedule, transportation, and career goals line up with the clinical and classroom requirements.

1. Mark Your Calendar: Check your student portal or email for your assigned orientation date, time, and campus location/link.
2. Bring Questions: Review your program overview beforehand so you are ready to ask about schedules, tuition, or clinical placement expectations.
3. Confirm Attendance: Be prepared to check in upon arrival, as attendance is logged to maintain your enrollment status.
