Robotics Camp is a 5-day summer camp for middle school students (rising 6th – 8th graders) who are interested in exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) through the design of an autonomous robot.

Students attending the robotics camp will receive hands-on experience with:
  • Computer programming
  • Computer-aided design
  • 3D printing
  • Electronics
  • Robotics
The camp will promote an atmosphere of fun as well as the importance of good study habits and learning discipline. The faculty will involve students in daily discussions and activities that will expand their knowledge of engineering and engineering technology.

During the week, students will:
  • Build and code a Parallax Boe-Bot to "Save the Universe" from rogue transformers. These universe saving robots autonomously maneuver to find and remove 3D printed devices (created by the student) on a wooden track.
This camp helps prepare middle school students to compete in the bi-annual VWCC autonomous robot competition.

No prior experience is required.
