This Certificate binds the required healthcare orientation to the class you are wanting to enroll. If you are wanting to attend a different orientation day/time or have any other questions, please email enroll@virginiawestern.edu.

Students without any healthcare or college education experience are encouraged to follow the career pathway for medical assisting by starting with Certified Medical Administrative Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, then Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, and finish with EKG Technician.

Following this pathway results in stackable credentials that are designed to build upon the knowledge and skills of one another.
