IT Fundamentals and Pathways is the starting point for anyone considering a career in the IT industry or seeking a broader understanding of IT. Focused on pre-IT career students, who will learn basic IT concepts such as the identification of computer components, the installation of software, troubleshooting, establishing network connectivity and identifying security issues. Learn ways to protect yourself and/or your employer from information security threats ranging from identity theft to malware and security breaches. It's ideal if you're considering a career in IT or if you work in a field that requires a broad understanding of technology. IT Fundamentals can also be a stepping stone to more advanced certifications such as CompTIA A+, and, with specialized experience, CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+.
