Success for Life and Work Course is taken along with RSVP program classes to ensure student success.

The Road to Success in Virginia Program (RSVP) could be your ticket to the career future you always wanted for you and your family!

Would you love to earn your credentials toward an in-demand career in the region?
Are you excited by the opportunity to have a chance to have stable and continuous employment?
Would you love to reduce your reliance on temporary state support programs, like TANF or SNAP?

          ...then the Road to Success in Virginia Program could be just what you're looking for!

Through career assessments and screening, we offer supportive services and training to help make your dreams of self-sufficiency and a career with strong future job growth a reality.

Our funding helps address common barriers to employment through:

  • Career and success coaching
  • Academic support from expert adult education instructors, and
  • Digital literacy training to support you along the way

We offer financial assistance for post-secondary training that leads to industry-aligned credentials and programs of study in high-demand fields like HealthcareManufacturingBuilding TradesAutomotive, Transportation, and more!

We also can help with:

  • Job search skills, preparation, and placement activities
  • Financial literacy and soft skills development that employers want
  • Strategies and opportunities to find employment and grow in your new career field.

You are eligible for RSVP funding assistance if:

Your combined household income is below 200% of the federal poverty level AND you are the direct parent or sole guardian of a child. (Child must be under age 18, or if 18 will graduate from high school before age 19, living with a parent, going to school regularly, and a US Citizen or lawful permanent resident eligible immigrant).

This section is meant to prepare students going into our February Certified Nurse Aide Class.
Topics included to assist you in successful training and employment:

  • English refresher and intro to medical terms
  • Job readiness-resume preparation and interviewing skills
  • Study skills
  • Time management
  • Computer skills
  • Budgetting
